New Show, New Site!

18 april 2006

At last the new site is live and running! This is the third incarnation of New Chemial History since its launch in 2003. I've made a number of changes which I hope will improve the flow of the site and also its usability. The site is now using a bit more flash to take advatage of Flash Remoting, this does introduce accessibility challanges which I am going to focus on for the next month. The exhibition page has improved navigation through the images in a show, you no longer are forced to use the thumnails to go through a show. There are a few minor issues to tackle before I'll be totally happy and signed off but you're never really finsihed I guess that's the point. Another area that is not completed at present is the music section as I havent had time to get to it but I'm hoping to bring it back as soon as I can. As always any feedback is welcome, bugs, likes, dislikes, send them on.

The first exhibition of the new design is a fantastic collection of images from photographer Matt Cheetham. His images of his travels are pretty stunning and if you get a taste here head over to his newly launched site watchlooksee.com

You can see the evolution of the site using the wayback machine a very useful site.
