Alcatraz set on Flickr

Just uploaded a set of images taken at Alcatraz there a week ago. First time to the island and I can't recommend it enough. The self-paced audio tour is world class but I think its the place itself more than anything. Its been preserved in a fantastic way but not turned into a museum too much, still feels like the last inmates just left. Wonderful place for photography. I shot these with a 50mm fixed lens so was a little limited on the day, I forgot to pack my zoom for the trip. That said it gave a good challenge, I would love to return one day and go on the first ferry so as to avoid the crowds another challenge in taking shots. I also shot off 3 rolls of 120mm in my holga so looking forward to getting those back, I'll post them when I get them done.
