Working with a limited palette

After many years of using my own trusted palette, I'm experimenting with trying out a limited palette. I understand it's not for everyone, I'm curious to see how I get on with this and the learnings I'm sure I'll get. For this piece I'm using:

  • Alizarin Crimson
  • Ivory Black
  • Lemon Yellow
  • Phthalo Blue
  • Titanium White

Will record progress for this one as I go, already I can see how worthwhile this is as an exercise as it forces you to build out tones and values based on just a limited number of colours.
